Does The Afterlife Really Exist?

Once you travel the road of grief, this burning question
will be embedded into your conscious mind.

"Does The Afterlife Really Exist?"

Finding evidence that life goes on after death can be daunting.

There are many things in life that seem to be shroud in mystery, and the new normal that one experiences with the loss of a loved one, questions what we truly believe about the afterlife.

Perhaps when you were younger, you didn't question death all that much.  You may have had grandparents that died, and you were sad to have lost their physical presence, but perhaps you didn't quite ponder what really happened to them?

I faced death a few times in my early adult years, as I lost a close classmate in high school, and my grandparents when I was in my twenties, but I never really questioned if spirit world existed at any deep level.  My life proceeded to go on, and my mind was busy with the traditional milestones of career, marriage, and children.  I didn't take the time to examine what my beliefs were when it came to death.

Everything changed in 2015, when I was in my forties and my Mother-in-law passed away after a short battle with cancer and then the devastation of losing my son unexpectedly two months later.  My internal core opened up like a lotus flower and I had no choice but to delve into the substance of what was residing in my innermost thoughts.  I became the anchor to everyone around me, as other family members and friends began to share "signs" and "coincidences" that made me want to explore this other part of myself that I had never looked at before.

I began to document everything, while reading a multitude of books that discussed viewpoints on death and the afterlife.  My shelf became overcrowded with books by mediums like James Van Praagh and George Anderson, or that focused on the topic of death, such as, Heaven Is For Real, 90 Minutes in Heaven, Proof of Heaven, and so many others.

In 2017, my own journey of grief was published as "Butterfly Kisses From Beyond - Signs From My Son in Heaven", as I had spent so much time researching, talking and basking in my beliefs, that I came to the point that I have no doubt in my mind that we will exist beyond this lifetime.  That thought alone gives me great comfort, as I continue to share my world with my son, even though he has transitioned.  My heart continues to assure me that he is there whenever I call on him, and that we will be reunited when I am done my lessons here on this planet.

Only you will be able to decide where your belief system takes you, if you are struggling with the question of whether or not the afterlife exists, but I encourage you to explore this part of you.

Years ago, when I began writing, I knew this world was too systematic to believe that all of this exists due to some random molecules that formed after the so-called Big Bang theory.  I can't explain everything, but I have come to a place of "knowing" that there is something greater than all of us here, and even if you take religion out of the equation, there is still something remarkable that we are all participating in.
